Founder
Briggs, a Co-Founder and Senior Planner with Retirement Security Centers (RSC), brings over 45 years of financial services experience to the company and the clients served. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor SM . With his vision of a practice that focuses on retirement solutions, Briggs led the development of the firm’s EASE process, an interactive experience, allowing clients to explore their full range of options and lifestyle choices before and during retirement. His objective, process- driven approach to financial guidance considers the quantitative data, as well as values, dreams, and desires in building customized solutions for his clients. Briggs now acts primarily in a consulting role to the CEO and is a member of the leadership team of RSC. He also maintains a planning relationship with a small, select group of longtime friends and clients. He along with his wife, Cynthia, and son Reed, live in Rancho Murieta, California where he is active in his community and has served on several boards.

A sign with the acronym “TINSTAAFL” (it means there is no such thing as a free lunch!)

Jeff Maas
Founder
Jeff is the Co-Founder and CEO of Retirement Security Centers. He was instrumental in developing the company’s EASE process and Envision Plan; both are foundational in our work with clients. In addition, as the Chief Executive Officer, Jeff instills, exemplifies, and leads the organization with the customized care afforded to each of the 3,000+ clients who work with RSC’s team of credentialed financial advisors and associates. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with double concentrations in Finance and Management from California State University, Chico. Still an active member, he previously served on the board of directors for the Northern California Financial Planning Association. Jeff, his wife, and two children live in Rancho Murieta, CA.

Your favorite sports team?
Dating back to my grandparents and passed down through generations, we’ve all been San Francisco 49ers fans. Many great memories tailgating with the family over the years.
Where is the furthest place you’ve traveled?
Based on flight time and then height, this would be Mt. Kilimanjaro for me. Hiking almost 20,000 feet to the top of the world’s tallest freestanding mountain was quite the adventure!
What kind of vehicle did you take your driver’s test in, and did you pass on the first try?
A Buick Roadmaster station wagon with that beautiful fake wood paneling on the side. Passed on the first attempt, only to get my first ticket 6 days later and then abruptly have my driving privileges revoked by D/M V (Dad/Mom Verdict!)
